Pue's 22nd Bday@ Khaosarn

I just went back to Khaosarn again on Tuesday night 28th due to Pue's Bday. Since she's the bday girl, she was the one picking the place and of cause it couldn't be anywhere else but Shamrock Irish Pub, hehe.
Pue, the Birthday Girl :)
While waiting for the rest of the girls to show up, Pue, Palm, and I decided to have a little tour here on Khaosarn..
Palm, in front of the Fresh Juice Stall :P
The Fruits at the stall.
Pue and her smoothie...
Us girls @ Khaosarn :P

With some farangs walking on Khaosarn Road, lol..
This is one of the popular stuff at Khoasarn, Padthai Stall :)
The Usual Night Scene of Khaosarn...
Some Hot Girls from Lava Club...
I couldn't believe it's been 4-5 years now when I was still hanging out at Khaosarn a lot (don't ask me why, as you should figure it out, hehe). Anyway, Lava Club was already there back then, it was originally something like Euro style, you know, some techno, house, whatever it was..but then it had changed to something like Hip-Hop in order to suit the trend..which is more popular among Thai poeple.
The interesting thing is that back in the days, 4 or so years ago, I went out to Lava Club sometimes and I met this girl who worked there quite often to the point that she recognized me. And now, the other night ago, I saw her sexy ass at Lava still, leaning against the sign, hot as always...it made me wonder, why?..why is she still there? She has met so many many guys in her life, I am sure a woman like her could have just ended up with any man if she wanted to. Well, I guess she enjoys her life the way it is..though, I'd have just moved on to do something else if it was me, wouldn't u?
Here We Are! Shamrock Irish Pub!
Big Brothers Band: The House band at Shamrock Irish Pub
So yeah, this is the band I am talking about, the Big Brothers Band. It is a house band of this pub, been playing there for a couple of years now. I think I know why it's called Big Brothers..look at the male singer! hehe. I had the chance to talk to the female singer, she just joined this band for a year. The songs they play are pretty much whatever those are English, soft rock, brit stuff, a lil hip-hop and more, you can request for the songs, too, they will play it if they can. I requested for Bohemian Rhapsody, too bad she said there was no chorus so they couldn't do it.
Like I mentioned before in my previous blog entry, this band is the second one I've come across so far that does a really good job on singing English songs (the other one I found is the one at Santika, Ekkamai, not sure if it's still playing there though). For those who are interested, kindly check it out yourself at Shamrock Pub, 2nd floor of Sawasdee Khaosarn, opposite to Silk Bar. The band performs daily from around 9ish to 1am approximately and the pub plays hip-hop music during the breaks. No entrance fee during weekdays and 100 Baht(one drink) on weekends.
Would you like to drink Sangsom with us? hehe
Cheers!
There was some scene going on in the pub, I hope i'm not too nasty to show you this. Ok, let me give you some intro, first of all, this place is more like a sit-down place, you know. You go there, sit down, have a couple of drinks, listen to the music, watch football, etc, etc, etc. When it gets a lil late, you might dance in order to respond the hip-hop music that the dj is trying to put together. But what I encountered this time, it was more than just a dance. Or maybe I'm just getting too old to be fine with this??
Some low class obscene stuff in the pub..
So there was this group of loser-looking farang guys, either "virgin and too drunk" or "drunk and too horny"to control themselves. They were finally hitting on this group of either "hooker-looking" or "farang-hunter" girls, no matter what they were, they looked pretty bad..
Yea, yeah, you might be thinking what a mean nasty bitch I am, telling you all this, but god, if you see the way these girls danced, it's like they came from Nana or Patpong a gogo bars or something.
Some make out scene happening..
Oops, she started to notice what we were up to, lol!

So that was somewhat Pue's Bday party, quite enjoyable, I hope I didn't put too many photos, hehe :P

Sawasdee Kaosarn!

I just went to Khaosarn road the other night ago. It's been such a long time since I went there last time, I can't even remember when was it. Anyway, things there were pretty much the same, lots of backpacker and Thai people..I don't know which one is more..hehe.

Oh the reason I went to Khaosarn again was because my beeyatch friend, Pue, dragged me there. She said there was a cool place on the 2nd floor of Sawaddee Khaosarn restaurant with a very good live band and of cause, young white eye candies (according to her) to look at.

Pue, my b-yatch..
So I finally got there, the 2nd floor of Sawaddee Khaosarn Restaurant, the place is called Shamrock..so obviously it's an Irish pub but honestly, I don't see any different between Brit, Irish, whatever pubs in Thailand here, hehe.

Pue and I together at Koh Samed last year
So how was Shamrock?? It's awesome!!! I mean, in terms of the place and people, it's alright but what great about it is the band!!! It's a Thai band and the male singer was quite old actually but he still looked cool with his long gray hair and such, so arty looking and the guitar (or bass, i'm not sure) player looked just like a middle-aged chinese looking guy with 2 kids..but hey! They ROCKed! The music they played was all English and they did so damn well!! The last time I saw a Thai band playing really good English music was at Santika and this one was the second one I've ever come across!! The music they played at Shamrock was like the Goo Goo Dalls, No Doubt, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, stuff like that!!

Khaosarn Road at night..
And since it's Khaosarn road, so the drinks and stuff there weren't too bad in terms of price..so I don't mind going back there again despite the fact that I don't go to Khaosarn anymore! FYI, hehe, when I was a couple of years younger I used to like going to Khaosarn a lot for drinking, dancing and meeting cool guys but recently since I'm getting old, hehe, I don't like Khaosarn anymore but since I went to Shamrock..I totally don't mind just going there to sit down and listen to the music with my friends. I hope I don't sound like an old lady, hehe...

Long Live the KING!

Oh my god!! Now I know what happened. At first I tried to put this blog but I had problems putting photos on it..I almost gave up entirely..and guess what? Firefox saves my bitchy blog life! Ok, I normally used IE for browsing internet including blog update..it worked fine before but recently the photos I upload wouldn't appear on the writing page..so screw it now, IE sucks! By the way, I am not getting paid from Firefox for telling you this, but I tried to change the browser to firefox just to test if I will have the same problem and I don't!! So it's my default browser now!! wooo!!
Ok enough intro, let's get back to the blog I've been trying to update for 2 weeks!

Probably no one in Thailand doesn't know how significant these past few weeks been, especially Friday 9th and this coming Monday, 12th. It's the 60th Anniversary Celebrations of HM's Accession to the Throne.
On Friday 9th, there was a very memorable ceremony, a ceremony that we Thai people will never forget. Their Majesties came to the Royal Plaza for the royal ceremony of the 60th Anniversary of HM's Accession to the Throne. According to the news and TV, soooo many many
Thai people came and waited to see Their Majesties at the Royal Plaza since the night before. It is very overwhleming to see the sea of yellow gathered the whole area (in case you still don't know, people are wearing yellow to show respect for HM the King because yellow is his birthday color, Monday). I am sure that you won't find this in any other country where millions of citizen could love, respect and be loyal this much to their King.

Their Majesties the King and Queen, our most beloved King and Queen! (Thanks to Dailynews for this photo)

The Sea of Yellow!! So overwhleming..LONG LIVE THE KING!!(Thanks to The Bangkok Post)

And on Monday 12th, the day people await for, The Royal Barge Procession, the historical ceremony which Their Majesties the King and Queen and foreign monarchs will attend. This ceremony will be held at Chaophraya River and yes, so many and many people will be there, all the restaurants and hotels by the river are all booked since last year!! So..I'll be watching it at home..

The Spectacular Fireworks!

By the way, for those who are in Thailand, this Sunday 11th will be the last day for the exhibition in honor of His Majesty the King..so if you still haven't seen it, it's your last chance!!

This exhibition is from 26 May-11 June 2006 at IMPACT Exhibition center, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi Province, 9am-9pm. I already went there during the first week of the exhibition..it was very impressive!! They said on the ads about the exhibition that if you go see it, you'll love the King much much more..and it's so true!!

Standing outside the exhibition hall..

The exhibition features His Majesty’s biography, his activities, and royally initiated projects. There are stage performances to raise funds for royal charities and souvenirs for sale.

The waterfall curtain (I'm not sure what's it called exactly) displaying texts and images. Do u see how crowded it is!!

The King and I :)

King Rama V, the popular King who abolished slavery in the Chakri dynasty section.
When he was young; the photo showing how His Majesty cares about agricultural and forestry since he was so little!

An adorable display of the King's handwriting on the invitation card to his cousin in the King's biography section.
At the beautiful fountain, displayed in the section showing where HM first met the Queen!

The big book welcoming you to see His Majesty's literature and art works..
The symbol for this event, the 60th Anniversary Celebrations of HM's Accession to the Throne
The wishing tree..people writing notes, blessing and wishing HM: Long Live the King!
So I finally get to update this blog of my blessing memory, my wonderful King!! I hope you would find it interesting :)

Back to School!!

I hope it's not too surprising that I'm still a student eventhough I might look too old for it:P
This is my last year as a pharmacy student. One more semester to go and another internship in the next semester, then I'll be done with this whole thing!
Me in the student uniform..
Well, the school started right after my Sukhothai internship, May 22nd. This semester is not as intense as the previous one, which is awesome, no more pharmacology classes and shit..woohooo
Me in the lecture room, I don't look too nerdy, do I? hehe
Here is my class schedule this semester..
Mon: 8.30-9.30 Pharm. Administration then Special Project for the rest of the day..

Tue: 8.30-10.30 Pharm. Admin (again) 10.30-12.30 Pharm. Jurisprudence

Wed:9am-12pm Health Economics

Thu: 9.30-12.30pm Community Pharmacy Management(It's about running drug stores and stuffs)
1.30pm-4.30pm Drug Marketing

Fri: Computer in Pharmacy...all day...(we'll be learning ACCESS, ASP, Java, html)

So, no more labs!! yay!! Except my special project that is involved lab but it's a nice one, no labor and shit..just using the PCR machine and we're set! hehe. The special project thingy is required for every student, if u don't get it done, u will not graduate, basically. Usually one project per 2 students, sometimes 3. My project partner is a good friend of mine, Yarh, and the project is quite chilling coz we'll be working with a grad. student anyway. So everything should be fine, hehe.

My friends, Tummy and Yarh(my project partner)

I was gonna take Cosmetics earlier but changed to Community Pharmacy Management and Drug Marketing instead, why? Becoz eventhough cosmetics sounds interesting..but I always suck at labs. For the past few years, whenever I have this kinda lab practice exam..i always broke up shit and got either C or C+ out of it :( So now when i have to chance to avoid it, why not??!

With my lab partners, Jay, Nat, and Soi in the Pharmaceutical Technology Lab!(The one I suck at, lol)

With Nui and Tummy..in the intern uniform :)

My friends in Health Econ class, I dunno why we all take it..maybe becoz no exams, just assignments? hehe
From left to right: NamGlua, Kate, Chou, Yarh, Aor, and Nui

With my lovely gay friend, Tummy, and a ladyboy friend, Picky (Isn't she prettier than real woman?? Standing next to her makes me look like shit!)

Thank you for reading this silly blog, hehe, if you happen to be interested in my gay friend, Tummy, or Picky (to be friends and whatnot, LOL) you can let me know :) HAHAHA
