Community Pharmacy Management
You are probably wondering what is this topic all about.
Well, actually it is one of the classes I take this semester. One assignment we had to do in groups is community service. Each week on Thursday evening, one group from the class will go down to the community nearby our school.
Basically, to educate them something regarding health/pharmacy issue and have some interesting activity to have them come and join us. Sound easy, right? Well, the tough part is that the more people participated, the more points you'll get for the class!
It wasn't easy because people in this community are not that concerned about this event. They have things to do in their lives after work, the only target group we could find was...these "adorable" children, hehe.
We had 1 hour for the session, so we came up with some games for kids, like asking them questions and give them candies or some other prize when they answer, drawing contest about the healthy food in their opinion, and free food.
By the way, our topic for the community service was food and health, it wasn't our original topic, though, the original one was birth control but we realized that the adults were not gonna be interested in the event so we changed the topic and focused on the kids instead! Kids can be counted as participant of the event, too, right??!
It was quite a chaos, dealing with a bunch of kids!! Lots of friends realized they don't like children at all after this assignment, lol. As for me, I'll just leave it unstated, hehe.
All they were interested in was food and ka-nom(candies, snacks, etc), it was quite difficult to have them in control and play other games first. Some kept coming up to me asking for food and drinks while others were doing other activities.
It all went ok, i guess, quite tiring though!! We were all just glad that it's done and finally got it over with. It wasn't that much fun. I'll just think it's like doing a good deed then I might feel better about this assignment, hehe.
